Product News: PNV-57E NOROTOS MOUNT v2
Re: Product News: PNV-57E NOROTOS MOUNT v2
Unfortunately not. Still tinkering on the new printer.
Re: Product News: PNV-57E NOROTOS MOUNT v2
Still optimizing the printer. Turns out printing nylon is rather complex.
But it should be worth it in the end.

How has this been going?
Hoping to take my PNV-57E with me to Camp Balle near Ft Polk, LA for an Army school in April. There is an overnight field exercise and these would give me advantage over my peers. Plan on even taking my Cyclop monocular. Even if the mount isn't ready, I'll be able to use my Tanker PNV setup.

Printer broke down again
I could send you the design files though, so you can print it in the US.

Very much interested in the design file. Could you mail it to me?
Re: Product News: PNV-57E NOROTOS MOUNT v2
I am currently on a business trip, but I will upload the design files free for your own personal use when I am back in Germany!
Re: Product News: PNV-57E NOROTOS MOUNT v2
I am back with a much more simple design, that could be very easily (cnc) milled. Damn 3d printing gives me headaches
(99% of 3d printing is done with PLA or ABS. Both lack the required strength for this application. I hoped, that I would be able to archive it with Nylon, however printing Nylon is a true nightmare...)
The red part is only a spacer, that is not necessary for most helmets. However I need it on mine to have the NV sit at a proper height. You can just leave it out and it will work fine.
Also I bought myself a broken CNC mill. If I can get that thing up and running again, I could produce them from Aluminum, which would be a much more durable.
Download the Design file here: Should you need it in an other format, let me know!

Re: Product News: PNV-57E NOROTOS MOUNT v2
Thanks for the file.
How does the mount work?
I presume the round clamp goes around the PNV center rod. What does the upper mount to? On my two Norotos mounts, I have a dovetail adapter area where a PVS J Arm would slide into. Ended up getting a Gen 2 of the Norotos mount as well.
Once I get this printed out and mounted to my setup, I'll post some pics.

Re: Product News: PNV-57E NOROTOS MOUNT v2
The file is intended for CNC machining. But I can modify it for 3d printing, just need to make some parts thicker.
I'll upload it later today and explain how it works!
Which helmet are you using by the way?
